The Faculty of Education and Technology was approved to be established in Hanoi University of Agriculture No.1 under Decision No 2468/GD-DT dated August 2nd, 1997 by Former Minister of  Education & Training Tran Hong Quan. The Faculty’s mission was to train Agricultural Techniques teachers for high schools, agricultural science teachers in professional intermediate schools, TVET institutions, vocational & career counseling centers

On January 10th, 1998, Faculty of Education and Technology was officially founded at Hanoi University of Agriculture No.1. The first Dean of the Faculty was Associate Professor – Dr. Nguyen Van Tau.

In the period of 2001-2005, the Faculty operated with an office and 4 departments under the leadership of Dr. Nguyen Hai Thanh.

On October 7th, 2005, the Faculty was restructured to respond to the actual situation. Faculty of  Education and Technology only had 9 lecturers, led by Dr. Trinh Dinh Thau as Acting Dean.

On January 25th, 2007, Faculty of Education and Foreign Languages was established on the basis of merging Faculty of Education and Technology with Department of Foreign Languages (separated from Faculty of Information Technology) and a number of lecturers from Faculty of Marxism and Leninism under Decision 158/QĐ-NNI with the leadership of Dean Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thuy.

From 2016 to June 9th, 2021, Faculty of Education and Foreign Languages was led by Dr. Tran Nguyen Ha as Dean.

In line with Decision No.2746/QĐ-HVN dated June 10th, 2021, issued by Director of Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang held the position of Dean of Faculty of Education and Foreign Languages.

In 2022, in accordance with Decision No.3505/QD-HVN dated June 24th, 2022 of the Director of Vietnam National University of Agriculture, Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Languages was formed on the basis of restructuring Faculty of Education and Foreign Languages and arranging personnel from different departments in the University. Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang has been holding the position of Vice Dean of Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Languages.

The Faculty currently has 38 staff, of whom 2 have a PhD degree, 29 have a Master’s degree, 3 have a Bachelor’s degree and 4 are PhD candidates. The Faculty consists of 5 departments: General English, Professional English, Technological Education, Hospitality Management, Tourism and Travel Management.

62nd Intake (academic year 2017-2018), the Faculty started to enroll students in English major.

65th Intake (academic year 2020-2021), the Faculty started to enroll students in Technological Education major.
